A Powertran 'sale' ad, January 1986
This rare Powertran colour ad from Practical Electronics magazine illustrates the rather odd collection of products that they marketed during the eighties - everything from synthesizers, guitar amps and disco gear through to burglar alarms and home security.
Even their proprietary design of 16-bit micro, their computer buggy and their robot arm kits were not expressly compatible with each other - prefering to proclaim themselves universal in interface terms instead. Perhaps it's hardly surprising that Powertran had to have regular 'sales' to help pull their range together.
